APRIL BOOK CLUB PICK: THE ODYSSEY

Dive into the classic work attributed to homer as we follow odysseus on his harrowing journey home from the TROJAN WAR. Odysseus’s journey is not the only one taking place as his son, telemachus, frustrated by the suitors who have commandeered his home, and desperate to know the father who left in his infancy, travels to meet his father’s old comrades to find out what has happened to the great king.

Recommended translations are by emily wilson or robert fitzgerald. most of the b.a.c. will be reading the wilson translation.
